Re: [ranchos] Re: Help With My English: PLEASE!!!

Victor thanks,

I have something worked out with John Gonzalez and I would like to include you in it as well if you both don't mind. I would like for "me" to try to translate it.I'll do it in sections and I'll then send both you and John the section . You guys can email each other until you both are in agreement which translated version is easiest for most Spanish speakers to understand. then we'll move on to the next section.

Marge Vallazza is going to do the English upgrade so it will be a little while before I have my first section done.

thanks for the offer and when I'm ready I'll privately send you and John the first section

thanks much. . .gracias a los dos,

joseph

Joseph,

I'll do the translating for you. Just give me a little time and I'll
email you the Spanish version.

Just one thing. Should I wait until you make final revisions to the
English original?

Victor

Who is the English Major in the group? I really really need help

getting

the following form letter into the proper English before I work

with

John and anyone else that would care to join in translating it into

Spanish.

Can someone help me with the English?

joseph

ps: its okay to tear it to shreds and rewrite if that is what it

needs.

All I care about is that the basic information be included.

====================

Hello,

I'm glad you are interested in joining the Ranchos group:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ranchos/. We are a small but

dedicated

group of serious researchers. Here is the description of the group

from

our home page:

"This group is for those actively searching for their Mexican

Genealogy

Roots. El objetivo de este grupo cibernético es para poner en

contacto

genealogistas serios que tienen raíces en Jalisco, Zacatecas y
Aguascalientes, y así, facilitar las investigaciónes genealógicas

de los

miembros. The intent but never the requirement is to stay focused

on the

Ranchos of Jalisco, Zacatecas and Aguascalientes. If you are a

serious

researcher or want to be a serious researcher this group is for

you. If

you have no intention of doing your own research I would suggest

the

multitude of message boards available at Rootsweb. Please scan

through

the message archive, which is open to the general public, to get an

idea

of what is meant by doing your own research.

Note: If you decide to join this group it will be expected that as

soon

as you are comfortable you will introduce yourself describing what
surnames you are researching in what areas during which time

periods.

Also you will be expected to send in your Genealogy line from the
Jalisco, Zacatecas and Aguascalientes areas so that we can try to

make

some connections with one another. These files or links to your
Genealogy will be kept in Non-Public areas of the group."

This group is also open to those earnestly desiring to become

serious

researchers. To join the group I need for you to acknowledge your
willingness to comply with the two simple requirements:

1) You have done or are willing to do your own research. [This

group is

only for those that do their own work. What I'm saying is that some

only

look for others that have done all the hard work and then

contribute

nothing to it. There are plenty of message boards on Rootsweb that

offer

opportunities like this].

2) You are willing to send me your genealogical line so I can put

it in

the "non-public" files section of the group. The strength of this

group

is the unity within the members. Several of us have found that we

are

related. I have found 2 sixth cousins and another 2 cousins that is

yet

to be determined as to the exact relationship. Many others have

found

relatives in the group only by tying into their genealogies. We

find

connections and share our work and help one another.

If you have any reservations about the above requirements why not

take

some time and think about it. In the meantime please look at the

groups

home page and look at the message archives which are open to the

public.

affirmative with regards to the two requirements in order for me to
subscribe you.
