The date that Gonzalo Guerrero, father of the first Mestizos, arrived in the new world was around the Spring of 1511 on a ship that landed on the Yucatan Peninsula, possibly in Cozumel, or Zama or Tulum or Ple la Xelha of today, according to the article about the "Estatua de Gonzalo Guerrero". The bronze statue is in the city of Merida, and shows a Spaniard in full regalia with an Indian squaw kneeling at his feet.
