Mary:

I'm also a collector of photos and have "classics" in
my colletion.  You may come across some "classic
photos" they may not want to part with.  Here is a
suggestion.  I don't know if there are local kinko
stores, probably have to drive to the larger towns but
make a copies for yourself.  I had one family from
CA., send me pictures and I scanned them in my
computer, made copies, then sent the originals back. 
Also it's nice to give them a photo of yourself and
family (sharing) makes the difference.  I have reached
out to so many cousins and as a matter fact just
received a photo yesterday from my prima in Los
Angeles.  

Have a safe trip and I think it's wonderful you are
visiting your relatives.
