Re: Huizar

 
I have heard similar stories regarding Huizar with German roots, 
except the I was told the original spelling may have been Wisar or 
Wizar.  I have not found any documented proof so I don't know how 
valid those stories are.  There is a city in Europe(I can't remember 
which country, maybe Spain?) called Guisar or Guizar, which seemed to 
be a more popular spelling of Huizar before 1800's.  So I wonder if 
there is any correlation with the surname and the city?
