Wow!
That's quite a price-hike! Why so much? Has anyone ever asked if
they are going to offer online request where we could request films online,
request the FHC we'd like the films sent and pay with a credit card, all
online? Not that my FHC's are far, but it seems like a worth while
alternative. Also, who could I send this suggestion to?

Yes, they have also
done this at my local Family History Center located in
Covina, California. The prices
went up from $3.75 to $5.50 and it was effective as of January 1,
2006. I was rather
shocked at this price hike. It’ll definitely put a damper on my film
orders.

microfilm cost
I have just
returned from my local Family History Center. Today the director told me
that he has been informed of a price increase for the ordering of films.
The cost will go up to $5.75 per film to order the first time, and for each
renewal after that will cost $5.75, until the film becomes
indefinite. The price change goes into effect on January 15th, so if you
have any films to order, or if you need to renew films, do so soon.
I personally
renewed my films to make them indefinite. I just wanted to let you know
so you can take care of any films you may have or that you wish to
order.
