Hi group--

 

Here is my latest update on the Southern California meeting:

 

DATE: FEBRUARY 25, 2006

 

LOCATION: COVINA AREA OFF THE 10 FREEWAY (I WILL ANNOUNCE THE EXACT LOCATION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE)

 

TIME: TO BE ANNOUNCED, BUT I EXPECT 11 A.M. OR 12 P.M. --UNTIL WE END

 

CONTENT:  I had originally thought of this as a social event, but some members have expressed an interest in a true genealogical exchange of information.  You are welcome to bring whatever family trees/sources/questions/ideas that you wish.  I will type up an informal agenda and send it to the group.  Please email me any suggestions of what you want on the agenda.

 

FOOD:  I will search for a Mexican restaurant, preferably with a room/private area where we can talk and share without disrupting the business.  IF ANYONE HAS A RESTAURANT IN MIND, PLEASE E MAIL ME.  It needs to be a Mexican restaurant in the Covina area, preferably with a price range of about $8--15.  I will ask about separate checks, so that everyone can be responsible for their own meals. 

 

SPECIAL REQUEST:  OUR LEADER, JOSEPH, HAS REQUESTED A TAPING OF THE EVENT, SO IF ANYONE HAS A VIDEOCAMERA AND CAN TAPE THE MEETING, PLEASE CONTACT ME.

 

OUT OF TOWNERS: If you are coming from a long distance and need my help in locating a hotel, please let me know.
