Re: Colotlan, Fresnillo, Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Tlaltenango: Unfilmed genealogical documents and genealogical books

Joseph:

Though Colotlan is in the State of Jalisco for governmental purposes,
its parrish is part of the Diocese of Zacatecas and geographically it
is basically part of Zacatecas as there is no way in or out of the town
without going through Zacatecas.

As far as all of the other documents that you mention, those are all in
custody of the Spanish Ministry of Culture in Spain, thus Samuel
Sanchez's team that is presently in Zacatecas would not really be able
to film those very easily. Those should become available digitally any
time now via AER. If not, you can order copies of the documents or
films from them. I have done so already and they are very efficient,
if expensive.
