Colotlan, Fresnillo, Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Tlaltenango: Unfilmed genealogical documents and genealogical books

Elvira I don't personally know how to answer your question. Arturo Ramos said before that in Colotlan, Jalisco there are Franciscan records that are unavailble on microfilm and difficult to access in person, but you were asking about Zacatecas. All that I"m saying below might be very different than what you are talking about. If so please shelf this diversion and we can talk about it after others reply with those specific unfilmed records are discussed. I just can't remember who started and where the location was.

On my wish list---below is a list of records available at different archives but not available through the LDS on microfilm (at least according to Dr. Lyman Platt):

Fresnillo Padron 1770 AAG
Fresnillo Padron 1772-1773 AGI Guadalajara 348
Sombrerete Padron 1777 AGI Indiferentes 1526

Tlaltenango:
and though the LDS Lib has this one Padrones 1754-1780 FHL INTL Film 1219415
According to Dr. Platt the 1772-1777 is available at:
AGI Guadalajara 348 (not sure if the above film includes this one but I would think it doesn't since Dr. Platt didn't reference that film number)

AND especially since 160 years of the records are missing from Zacatecas, Zacatecas between 1679-1839 I'd love to have:

Zacatecas Padron 1770  AAG
Zacatecas Padron 1772 AGI Guadalajara 348
Zacatecas Padron 1794 AAG

oh and how can I forget, but going back to Jalisco:

Colotlan Padron 1760 AGI Guadalajara 401
Colotlan Padron 1770 BPT 45

AAG = Archivo del Arzobispado de Guadalajara, Mexico
AGI = Archivo General de Indias, Seville, Spain
BPT = Biblioteca Publica de Toledo, Spain Usually referring to Coleccion Borbon-Lorenzana Manuscript 45

To Everyone who mentioned the unfilmed records in Zacatecas in our areas of
interest:

Now is the time for action. Please! Can anyone give me specifics? Book
numbers pages, loose pages, etc.

I sent an e-mail to Benicio Samuel Sanchez Garcia regarding what was
said. He is interested and would like specifics. When he asks he usually
does something about it. He is in a position to do. The email below is
what I had sent him. I guess no one contacted him from this group. Please
send me (or him if you prefer, mentioning this e-mail) of the documents or
books that need to be filmed, loose pages, where they are, who is in charge
at the locale, phone numbers or address if you have it, and contact person.
Please send me as much information as you have on hand about the unfilmed
documents or books.

I believe he was expecting me to send the information needed. I sent him
pat o the info as a heads up but not all the e-mails from the group
discussing the need to film some more documents.

Can you all do this ASAP? I would like to take advantage of this since
I believe Mr. Sanchez is in a position to help us and has expressed an
interest. He mentions the book found in Santiago, Nuevo Leon. I am assuming
that that his outfit is gettiing ready to microfil again. Let's take
advantage of that; who knows, we might find some more family!

The following is the e-mail I received from him today. Below it is my
original e-mail to him.

Elvira

Elvira
