Thank you for the information, but I don't
see any connections yet...Maybe later as I keep finding more relatives.
Let me give you a quick run down of the Gonzalez family that I am
researching:
Pedro Gutierrez married to Candida Gonzalez, they
had two boys and a girl:
Doroteo, Refugio, and Rosario.
Rosario married Simon Gonzalez. Simon's
parents were Rafael Gonzalez and Antonia Franco.
Simon Gonzalez and Rosario Gutierrez had three
children:
Tiburcio, Patricio and Monica.
Patricio married Josefa Cornejo and they had 8
children. One of them, also named Patricio, was my father.
Josefa Cornejo parents were Jesus Cornejo
and Filomena Perez.
This is a pretty rough summary of the Gonzalez
family.
I will be going to Jalos in a couple of weeks and
am looking forward to a visit to Rancho Los Portales, I understand there is
still quite a few people living there. Maybe I'll find some relatives
still living there (descendents, of course!) If time allows, I might take
a trip to Jerez to see if I can locate "Minillas de Jerez" My mother was born
there.
She was "Cerros" but that's an entirely
different story that's going to have to wait until I finish with my father's
side in Jalos.
