Is Altos de Jalisco an area?  Is it in the northeastern part of the state?  I am beginning to see a connection between people from the western part of Michoacan (Tangancicuaro), as weel as areas in Zacatecas.  By the way, my husband is from the municipality area of Tangancicuaro - what surprised me about this beautiful area is how "green" everything was - it is very fertile ground, in this rolling foot hills area.
