Joseph, I was heartened to read your reply, which did bring tears to my eyes. I have printed the copy which is now taped on wall next to my computer.

The following story would not have been realized without you.

I had been following the paper trail of a Jose Maria Herrera for a number of years, only to realize that there were about 5 Jose Maria Herrera's in the same time frame.

When I read the submission from "Esperanza" from the group I realized that this was her line. So, I mailed her all the info I had, about 2 inches thick. Now we are fairly certain that we may have a common ancestor. In time I hope to pursue this further. Also, I have quite the stack on "Luna" that I know is Esperanza's line that I need to put in PAFto send her. Do believe we have a connection on the Luna's as well.

Most importantly, I have now befriended a jewel of a woman, and an accomplished one at that. At the moment I am lost for words, can not think with tears in my eyes...So I shall plagiarize your line....in Esperanza a found a buried chest of gold, a bag of diamonds, a pearl of a great price.

For you Joseph...feel the warmpth of un gran abrazo.....helyn

Well in short she saw the research Rich and Kitty were doing and compared it to her own and made the connection. A buried chest of gold, a bag of diamonds, a pearl of great price was found.

That which was lost is now found. El que se Perdió ahora es Encontrado. That which was divided is now one. The family after many many generations is back together again.

Call me hopelessly sentimental but I've been so so so much in love with "la familia" that when i see us divided and then one again its a sight and thought to behold. I'm so so happy for both of your families. I wish we were close enough geographically so we could organize Fiestas for when we find connections like this. I'd organize a party with Mariachis and pinatas and get Steven to bring some of his Uncle's Jalisco Tequila [i think those from Zacatecas wouldn't mind. . .would you?].. I'd have elotes and carne asada. I never saw menudo at a fiesta before but I like it so much that I'd at least bring a small pot. I'd ask my sister to make some "real" tacos not like taco bells. Hijola bailando and hablando y haciendo felis.

This is truely a cause for celebration. I hope this group can join with me in congratulating these two members that didn't know each other before but are now revealed que son de la misma sangre!
