Need help with title.

 
While digging my roots I came across this: " Br. Pbro. Diego Gonzalez 
de Hermosillo. "

I know what Pbro. means: Presbitero. But what is the Br. stands for? 

I know it is a religious title.  Is there any member out there that has 
any idea or can suggest a resource to look it up?  Any help will be 
greatly appreciated.  The subject was my gggggg Grandfather from 
Jalostotitlan, Jalisco.
