Cansado.

Hi Joseph (tocayo):

Your work as "moderator" I think is very busy, your contribution at this       e-Mail list is very important for me, I know that you is involved in other web groups and projects about this same matter (Genealogy or Family History). Don't worry.

I can see various alternatives to leave you have your live in peace, without a lot of labor with us:

1) You can divide the work of moderator to another moderators or "sub-moderators" in order to distribute that work, "divide y vencerás", say a "dicho muy común". The others moderators can have their assignations in relation to an specific matter or geographical area that is of their interest. If a question is included in the list and is in the responsibility of a "sub-moderator", you could leave him answer that question.

2) You can put the "Nuestros Ranchos" available to all people that like subscribe to the group, but is possible, the contributors with their information to the group could not receive noting of that other members has included in there; the individuals that subscribe to this group can contribute saying his experiences in genealogical research (their posts will be interesting to us, no matter if they become of anywhere).

3) You can to permit to any body conditionally subscribe at "Nuestros Ranchos", if in determinate time they not contribute with any information to the group, you could disconnect or unsubscribe them.

This suggestions proceed independently if the group grow or still how now is.
Is only my thinks, "ya puse mi granito de arena", or "this is my two cents". Sorry for my bad use of the English language.

"Recibe mis más cordiales saludos" Joseph, success!

I can't go any more than how I'm going.

If we were to get a few moderators to handle all the added traffic and
keep things orderly including dealing with Data Miners I might consider
opening up the research area. But truthfully I can't handle anymore and
if Ranchos were to double in size just from the geographic area as is
I'd be in serious time trouble. I think the handwritting is on the wall.
This group might need a new Moderator before too much longer.

For that matter why not just everyone move over to Jonathan's group? its
already in place covering all of Mexico. Afterall its the membership
that make the group, isn't it? Why can't you all join that group also.
There you'd be able to discuss all of Mexico without restriction.

there is nothing special about here. Awhile ago about 15 months or so we
opened up and took in Aguascalientes. I'm all in favor of taking in all
of historical Nueva Galicia. But I just don't have the energy to do it.

hey why not lets just leave this group as it but have a Nueva Galicia
comittee. That comittee (I'm not on it though) the comittee would then
plan out the perfect group and then just build it. When that group is up
and running everybody can go there and join. After awhile people can
consider keeping their membership in both places or just deleting from
Ranchos and going over to the "Nueva Galicia" group. I think you all
need to take up a collection (say 5 bucks a year) and do the Nueva
Galica group right. You could have a knock down dead good looking site
with plenty of file space and if you all worked together it would work.

what do you think?
