My name is Steven Hernández. A while back I posted some very good information regarding specifically the Martín del Campo family. Do a quick search for them in the messages section of the Ranchos newsgroup. You'll be pleasantly surprised and delighted. Oh, and by the way, when you say "Mariano Leal" you are no doubt referring to Dr. Lic. Mariano González-Leal, of the families González de Rubalcava and Leal de Araujo. Don Mariano is indeed a wealth of knowledge and information when it comes to Alteño genealogy. He and I email practically every day.
By the sound of it, and your family connections, you and I are related, as I am also a Martín del Campo, Muñoz, Márquez, Padilla, Barba (Muñoz de la Barba), and a Lozano, among others. Check out my family tree (The first 9 generations) in "Steven Hernández's stuff."
