Ameca and Colotlan connection?

Saw some christening records (mid 1700's) in the addendum 
listing Colotlan as the christening place but says the christening 
records were extracted from Ameca.  Since my ancestor was 
supposedly born in Ameca and married in Colotlan,  I am 
wondering if there is a connection between these two places that 
seem so far apart. I called the Salt Lake extractions department 
and they have no idea why there is a discrepancy.  Any ideas?
