1817 for the Colotlan area but the Ranchos is made in reference to
Santa Maria de los Angeles and the rancho in the record is listed as
"Sauz de los Marquez" which is in present day Zacatecas.
I'll add the other 2 pages of that census to the links and the next
rancho "Salto de los Romeros" and a map in a folder in the links called
"Salto de los Romeros" {how imaginative, huh?)

Re: [ranchos] census data
dear Prima Susana,
pages of info for your town that are similar but in some cases not
nearly as nice and ledgeable as these. . .also they don't always give
so much info (age, status, ethnic.

ps: by the way this page is the page that shows how you and I are
probably cousins. That Francisco Muro is probably the same one that was
married to the Señas Salas (according to Carol Turner) in your
genealogy and he is living next dore to my Vital Muro. I have more
evidence like them baptising each others children (padrinos and naming
children after each other, well Vital did anyway). No exact proof but
pretty strong evidence they were related. oh and that Ramon Muro at the
bottom is part of the family as well.

I was looking at the census data
of Dr. Platt. (the links is in Ranchos). Some of the films that he
talks about for zacatecas and Jalisco are as follows:
Has anyone seen any of these
films? What type of information do you find in them?
Thanks
