Maria, What a great project, how did you find it or hear of it? It is encouraging to know that Mexico knows it's treasures and has the desire and wherewithal to preserve them. Feliz Año, Atentamente, Alicia

This is a group in Mexico City that was formed to preserve the Historical Archives and Libraries of Mexico. Organizations are sent an invitation to petition for project funding. They are required to complete the project or return the funds to Adabi. The projects range from $5,000 pesos to 12,500 pesos (that's
roughtly $500-$1,200 US) per project. One project in Durango was to scan, catalog and create a database. ADABI donated the scanner, the computer and a desk. The recipient committed to completing the project within 10 months. They show other projects where old maps have been restored, etc.
