Angie,
I found that the percentage sign does act as a wildcard, at least in
some instances. For example if you enter a last name and want to
apply a filter in Events, and/or Year Range and/or State, if you leave
the First Name field blank you'll get an arror message. But doing
that same query with "%" in the First Name field you'll get back a
recordset. Have I saved my honor? -- jk -- ;-)
