RE: [ranchos] Re: Rancho del Muerto - Gracias Part Two

I know I wasn't the one who requested it, but I was very excited to find two Ranchos in Zacatecas that were listed on my ancestors birth records!
Thanks for the information!

Hi Helyn--

If you click on this link: http://biblio2.colmex.mx/bibdig/dicc_cubas/base3.htm , it is a geographic dictionary and lists many of the ranchos and cities in Mexico, in alphabetical order.  Click on M, and then scroll down to the link for Muertos, which happens to be on page 152, volume 4.  There are 18 ranchos listed under Muerto, and 5 under Muertos, with other variations included.  I love this website, as it often helps me identify towns or ranchos  that are unfamiliar to me.  There is a rancho named Muertos near Tepetongo, which is near Jerez.
