Rancho del Muerto

In a marriage record for a Magallanas ancestor, Tlaltenango - 1764, he is listed as being from "Rancho del Muerto". (Hmmm I wonder how that rancho was named). Has anyone encountered ancestors from this rancho? I am looking for other possible connections...especially, since many of the families in these ranchos were related.
