Thanks for sharing your immigration stories

I have enjoyed reading the various contributions of the ranchos members 
regarding immigration stories. Struggles, sacrifices, and successes. 
Someone asked if I was the immigrant - I am not; my father came to this 
country in 1916 when he was 4 years old. His genealogy and a brief 
story (one paragraph) regarding an episode in that journey is in the 
files (JJ Castro). That brief paragraph explains with whom he traveled.
Thanks again - are there any other immigration stories? I will have to 
compose the rest of my family's story, and hope to post in a few days. 
(I'm afraid I don't have as many details as some of you.)
