...no problem Jose. I have used it a many a times for my personal use also. The farthest back records that I received so far, were from 1907. I knoew they came across somewhere in Texas but had no idea where. So I sent it off to the INS Regional office in Mesquite, Texas. It took about 4 months, but I finally did receive it. It always helps, if you know about what area of the country your kin entered. Good luck and please keep us informed...

Smiley; I down loaded the form and sent it out. If this works, I thank you very much for the suggestion and am keeping my fingers crossed, if not, then maybe it will work for another name.
Great idea to suggest to us !!

...Jose, the forms may be found at the link that I geve Joseph on my last post concerning this matter. I included a copy of the actual G-639 on that post. However if you missed it, I will include the link here. Just scroll down the forms sheet & locate the G-639 & download or save it to your computer. Hope this helps...

you can request that the applications our relatives filled out for US residency or Citizenship be sent to you. It is possible that if you are looking for a location in Mexico that these applications might have that information.

Joseph,
I'm not sure I understand what you're asking.
Are you asking how does one go about applying for US citizenship or permanent residency?
Or
Are you asking how to find the information regarding applicants or applications for citizenship or US residency?
I know that if a person applied for US residency or citizenship or ??? that that information can be obtained by applying to the INS. I think Carol Muro did this but for the life of me I can't seem to figure out where to I put the information. Does anyone in the group have experience in getting this information? If so would you be willing to give the group a lesson in how to do it as in a step 1, 2, 3, 4, etc kind of thing???
your help is much appreciated.
