look in the files for the census records of Dr. Lyman Platt, Zacatecas. . . .film 0168814

in the Ranchos2 files area is also a list of the ranchos I found for the 1818 Villanueva Census film. I see a rancho named Paloma Viejas but not La Vieja (not saying it is not there but just that it might have slipped by me).

I was wondering where you found the 1818 Villanueva census.  I am looking for a rancho in Jerez called La Vieja. Every person that I talked to in Jerez including the Cronista for Jerez has not heard of this rancho.  I have a document with my 3^rd-great grandfather being born on this rancho.

 

 

Any help to point my in the right direction would be nice.  I have looked at the Family History Center catalog for censuses in Zacatecas and Mexico.  I haven’t seen anything promising there.  Maybe I’m looking in the wrong category.  It won’t be the first time I wasn’t in the right category.
