Re: [ranchos] I'm In/Disc #102/Pedigree Resource File

lots of side branches, but some of them are not related as in the wives of some my relatives. . .If I had the information there on a baptism record I would record the wives parents names as well.

The way you can check my direct line and the various surnames that contributed to making me. . .go to Antonio Diaz Puentes (my Dad using the American style of naming) and click on his parents their parents their parents their parents etc.

it should look like this Puentes: My Dad

then Puentes Diaz: My Grandparents

then Puentes Gonzalez and Diaz Santa Maria: My Great Grandparents

then Puentes Varela and Gonzalez Gonzalez and Diaz Torres and Santa Maria Espinoza: My Great Great Grandparents

then Puentes Torres and Varela Banuelos and Gonzalez ??? and Gonzalez ??? and Diaz Leanos and Torres Marquez and Santa Maria Miranda and
Espinoza Lugo: My Great Great Great Grandparents

and then Puentes Sanchez and Torres Marquez and Varela Sandoval and Banuelos Sanchez and Gonzalez ??? and ??? and ??? and Gonzalez ??? and ??? and ??? and Diaz Rivas and Leanos Muro and Torres Ramirez and Marquez Loera and Santa Maria Ortiz and Miranda Nava and Espinoza Garcia and Lugo Torres:
My Great Great Great Great Grandparents

well anyway if you add some of my GGGGG's and one or two GGGGGG's and a bunch of related side branches and a few of their wives families and you end up with a few people

Joseph,

That was very interesting about your Gedcom.  I don't know anything about those.  I started looking at the list of all the people on your  Gedcom, and I realized there are 1,610 individuals in there.  Who are all those people?  And this is just on your father's side!!??  Are they all your ancestors---your gggggg-grandparents, their siblings, and in-laws and all their descendants too?

About FamilySearch Pedigree Resource File:
The Pedigree Resource File is a new lineage linked database of records available on compact disc containing family history records submitted by individuals through FamilySearch Internet Genealogy Service. Family information is organized in family groups and pedigrees and includes submitted notes and sources. Many charts and reports can be printed from this data. Each disc contains about 1.1 million names. With the publication of every five discs, a master index for those discs will be published and packaged with that set of discs. With the publication of every 25 discs, a master index for those discs will also be published and packaged with that volume of discs. Discs may be purchased as sets or volumes.
