Re: [ranchos] Cristero Rebellion Thesis and PowerPoint

Steven,

I would pay that much or more for a good book on the history of Mexico and hopefully once I receive it, I will know it's worth it so my vote is a yes I will purchase it. I will send you a separate e-mail to get your address so I can send you a check.

Muchas Gracias,
Alicia

Dear Ranchos group,

Recently I posted a message indicating that I had attempted to transmit a PowerPoint presentation dealing with the Cristero Rebellion.  If you check the hour in which it was sent you will notice that it was quite late, and I was very sleepy.  If I had been operating at a more lucid level of consciousness, I would not have forgotten a very important detail.

The PowerPoint presentation is simply way too huge to email to everyone.  It is more than just a history of the Cristero Rebellion.  It is an overview of the entire history of the church-state conflict which has plagued Mexico since independence.  The PowerPoint file is 12.8 Megabytes, definitely way to big to send.  It is over 80 slides long.  I spent too much time, effort, and sleepless nights preparing the Presentation.  The same thing can be said for the Cristero Rebellion thesis, which is 30 pages long, plus several dozen cited books, sources, and websites in the Bibliography. This compendium can serve anyone who wants to do additional research into La Cristiada.

The important detail that I overlooked was that I will not send anyone anything unless I at least get something for shipping and handling, plus something for all of my hard work.  It will cost around $5 for S&H, plus a combined total of $40 for the combined thesis and PowerPoint presentation. But even $40 does not sound like nearly enough.  If you could see the presentation or read the Thesis, you would say it was worth more than that.

I hope everyone will understand why I am taking this position.  If you could only see it from my standpoint ...  If anyone still wishes to receive the Cristero Rebellion Thesis and PowerPoint presentation, please contact me at:

Through private communications we can exchange our shipping addresses, and discuss all the details.  I am quite sorry for the misunderstanding this has caused.  Good bye and God bless.

Sincerely,
Steven F. Hernández
