RE: [ranchos] Pineda family in Tlaltenango, Zacatecas

Hi Chris, do you have Juan Pineda in your family?  He may have married my Great Grandmother, Maria Correa.  My maiden name is Pineda, however, my grandfather, Jacinto Pineda Sr., was really born Jacinto Aguirre.  My Great-Great grandfather Baudelio Aguirre died, supposedly, during the revolution and my G-Grandma Marie, married, here or in Mexico, Juan Pineda.  He gave my grandfather, my grandfather’s siblings, his last name. My Aguirre Line and Correa line are all from Tlaltenango.

Anyway, I was always interested in this man who took another mans children and made them his own……

I have a picture of him if you’re interested.  I don’t know his age, though.  My G-grandmother Maria died in 1961, she was 70 years old.  I’m guessing he was about the same age, more or less.

Thanks

Peggy Delgado

Subject: [ranchos] Pineda family in Tlaltenango, Zacatecas

Hi all,

I'm new to this group but I would like to say what I'm
searching for at this point.

I'm looking for any information on the family of my
great-grandparents, Nicanor Pineda and Emilia
Gonzalez, both from Tlaltenango, Zacatecas.  They came
to Laredo, Texas in the 1920s.

Based on the 1930 Census records that I've found,
Nicanor Pineda was born around 1895 and his wife,
Emilia Gonzalez was born around 1907.  I've looked at
some of the 1890s microfilm from Tlatenango at my
local FHC but have not really had any luck.  I've
realized at this point that the Census records can
often be wrong with dates.  What was interesting was
that I did not find one 'Pineda' but there were
several people with the name 'Pinedo.'

I'm hoping this may connect with somebody out there.
As a side note, I do have extensive information on my
family roots in Nuevo Leon and Mier, Tamaulipas.  I'll
be loading up later today.

Hope to hear from someone,

Chris Pineda
