Re: [ranchos] Monte de Duranes

Lorenzo and I did have some communication and we don't seem to have the same surnames, at least not yet. In any case if there were a connection it would lead to my husband and not to me.

However I did find many surnames of Aguayo and Avelar married to Borroel's which is Lorenzo's family lineage and my surnames of interest on my father's side are Avelar (my grandfather and Aguayo, my grandmother. It seems that Nochistlan was and is heavily populated with Aguayo's and Avelars to this date.

In my search I also discovered a new surname of Ortega on my GGG maternal grandmother and my GGG paternal grandmother. Another unusual connection was in Julian Carrillo's birth document, it shows his grandmother, his mother's mother as Antonia Olmos, that might put my husband and myself as third or fourth cousins as my maternal grandfather was Lauro Olmos.

Pretty convoluted if you ask me!

go to "link" go to "2000 Mexican Census" go to "Zacatecas" go to
"Nochistlan" go to "Monte de Duranes."

so this place was in existence as of 2000

I wonder if Alicia Carrillo and Lorenzo Cuesta might be related somewhere?
