I'm a Castaneda, Miramontes, Rodriguez (mostlikely) and Diaz from
Tlaltenango. . .unfortuneately I don't have a lot of info and trying to
make those connections with the 4 of yall might be somewhere down the
road as in months or even years. But I just wanted you all to know that
I might easily be your primo as well. . .might I suggest you make me an
"HP" in the mean time (honorary primo) and if we find the connection
we'll delete the "H" or if we find proof of "no relation" then we'll
remove both the "H" and the "P"? what do you all think, primas?
joseph
ps: of don't forget that Helyn Sparkman de Castaneda is also a Castaneda
from Tlaltenango, but we haven't be able to make that connection either.
And Steven Hernandez is a Miramontes from Tlaltenango. Isn't life grand?

Angie, Carol and Rosalinda:
I am researching the same surnames from Zacatecaz. I have some
direct line ancestors that might tie in to yours somehow. One
couple: Manuel Castañeda married to Maria Antonia de la Torre on 16
Nov 1738 in Tlaltenango de Sánchez Román. Manuel was the son of
Pedro Castañeda and María Ulloa. I also have Pedro Castañeda (son of
Manuel) married to María Gertrudis Luna on 13 Jul 1765 in
Tepechitlán, Zacatecaz. I have documented 9 children from the
marriage of Manuel Castañeda and Maria Antonia de la Torre. Let me
know if any of these names tie into one of your lines.
