Good Morning!
Thank you for for e-mail! To tell you the truth, "Soto" is a surname I have not really researched as yet. I do know my 5th generation grandfather was Juan De Campos Soto...so his mother was a "Soto". This is in my direct line, and she would be my sixth generation grandmother! I definately will be researching this line more!

I am doing research on the Soto line out of Tamaulipas in the mid 1800s........does any of this sound familiar? That is as far as I have gotten on this line but I need to get busy and dig some more. Did any of your Soto ancestors come from Tamaulipas?
Thanks!

Carol, you are related to me, since, as Angie noticed, you descend from Juan Manuel Campos, the son of Juan de Campos and Antonia de Soto Almeyda. Antonia was the daughter of Francisco de Soto Almeyda and Juana Magdalena de Salazar, and Antonia was the sister of my ancestor, Diego de Soto Almeyda. How exciting! Welcome to ranchos, cousin! Write to me if you want more details.
