Madrid and Barcelona

a cousin of mine told me his parents are in Spain on vacation and if I 
could think of any family history sources they could pick up in Madrid 
or Barcelona. I told him to have them swing by Sevilla to the Archivo de 
Indias to get me some Padrones from the Jerez/Colotlan area that are in 
that Archive.
So I'm wondering do any of you all know of any archives in Madrid or 
Barcelona that possibly would have information on Mexico? I'm sure there 
are a lot of sources but I'm so lacking for that specific knowledge I'm 
coming to you.
