Became stuck looking for birth record of Juan Florencio Villegas who,
according to his 1759 marriage record, was born in Ameca. It was always my
assumption that meant Ameca, Jalisco since he was married in Colotlan
Jalisco. However, I now notice records of Ameca, Edo and there is always
Amecameca. How can I find out where immigrants to Colotlan usually came
from in the early 1700's? Possibly the State of Mexico? Thanks. Evie
