Hi Carol,
Check out Steven's posting of the Martin del Campo Family. Your
Campos might tie in. I still need to work more on my
Alvarez-Tostado. I just know they lived in the Jalostotitlan/San Juan de
los Lagos area.

Hello Irma:
Nice to hear from you. I am pretty ignorant of
Mexico and it's "towns", or "ranchos', as they call them? But
the areas I know of are Momax, Tlaltenango, Totoletiche(sp?) in Zacatecas.
In Jalisco, I am not sure, but have been told that the "ranchos" border
the states of Zacatecas and Jalisco. One of these is an area called "El
Refugio".
Also, the "Alvarez" ancestors list is pretty
large and encompasses many surnames. The strongest is "Campos".
I will be posting my genealogy as it is to this group and hopefully will find
some connections. The two names you mentioned are not familiar to me,
but I will check.
