Re: [ranchos] Re: Mexican Phone Books: Please!!!

Thank you Victor, Yes Last years book will be fine even the year before. I suspect that the relatives I'm looking for might have been living in my areas of specific research for 300 years so that being the case I don't think they moved from house to house much either. . .so even a book from 2001 or 2002 would be great and definitely much much more than I have now which is nothing.

thanks Victor. . .and to any others that might look for books for me from ANY place in our target area any book from 2000-2005 would be much appreciated. both white and yellow if possible. thanks much,

joseph

Hello Joseph,

I've been trying to get a phone book from Zacatecas and nearby
towns. I've been making calls to the company that publishes the
phone books, which is "Sección Amarilla" but I've been getting
refered from one place to another and haven't been succesful yet.

Their website (www.seccionamarilla.com.mx) allows you to lookup a
number of any place in México but you have to enter the name of the
person, which I suspect is not exactly what you'd like doing anyway.
You see, these phone books are printed only for their subscribers,
and although I'm sure that they have to print some extra copies is
not very easy finding them. I'm still trying, though.

I've also posted some messages in one of the Zacatecas forums asking
for help from someone who lives there to help us get at least one
phone book. No answer yet. By the way, is it Ok if I get last
year's edition?

Victor.
