Finding relatives like that can give your genealogy a tremendous jump
start. You just never know how contacting them might lead you to a
branch of the family that is way way bigger than the current one you
know. . .along with the possibility that you might find a kindred
spirit "primo/prima" that has been researching the family as well. The
possibilities are great. congratulations and please do keep us posted
on this subject in general. . .I know Tijuana is not our target area
but the subject of oral history and telephone books and find living
relatives from lost branches definitely fits in with what we need to be
doing [as in cranking up the intensity and possibly getting around a
few brick walls].
thanks for this encouraging message on your success,
joseph

A great big "thank you" for
posting the Telmex site. Do believe I may have found some long lost
relatives in Tijuana. I have been attempting to locate them off, and
on, for quite some time.
Thanks again,

Joseph,
Have you tried the following links?
www.telmex.com.mx
www.seccionamarilla.com.mx
I have in the past but haven't spent enough time to feel comfortable
with the results. . .it could be a difference between using Explorer
and Netscape. I remember the sites didn't work so well in the past and
am now not remembering if I tried them with Explorer. . .I don't think
I did.
Also,
which phonebooks, do you want specifically?
Another member of the group was looking into the books for the area
that covered from: Colotlan, Jalisco North and including everything to
Tepetongo, Zacatecas. I heard there was a book that covered that area.
I'm interested in all books from our target area though unless the cost
starts getting out of hand which I believe it could easily.
thanks Jonathan,
joseph
