As you know, this takes quite a lot of detective work.  Sometimes we have the obvious right in front of us and we don't see it, and sometimes everything seems to fall into place naturally.

Querying the FamilySearch databases is kind of tricky because of all the spelling errors or variants, punctuation marks and name abbreviations in the data fields.  One has to exhaust all the possibilities, including available filters, before giving up on a search.

I believe there's still more in it in this particular branch.  Do you have a file in the files section with the information you posted above?  Maybe I can find the relation between our Castañedas.
