David,
Thanks for that information regarding the ''Ranchos Los Cuervos.'' That gives me something to go on until this Wednesday when I review the films that have just arrived at my Fremont FHC for the marriage of Prudencio de Olmos and Juana de Jauregui in Nochistlan Zac in the year 1857.
Unfortunately I don't know Bernie or Esther Olmos, do you know where their descendants came from?

Alicia,
I looked in Garcia Cubas' "Diccionario..." and found three ranchos named los Cuervos. 1. Rancho en la municipalidad de Huejúcar octavo cantón (Colotlán) estado de Jalisco. 2. Rancho de municipalidad de Tepetongo, partido Jerez, estado de Jalisco. 3. Rancho de municipalidad de Mátape, Distrito de Ures, Sonora. Hope this helps.
PS: Do you by any chance know a Bernie Olmos or his wife, Esther? She still works in public schools in ESUHSD and he went out of SJ to continue as an administrator? Just curious.

Does anyone know where Los Cuervos might be located or might have been located back in the early
1800's? I have a tia who is 83 years old and she was in San Jose this Thanksgiving weekend and mentioned that she had heard that my GGGrandfather Prudencio Olmos had split from the Olmos family back in the early 1800's and that as a result of that split there may have been two separate Olmos families that originated in Los Cuervos. One branch stayed put and the other was established in Nochistlan Zac. but she doesn't know if Los Cuervos is in Jalisco, Zacatecas or Aguascalientes. Thanks, any help would be appreciated........Alicia Carrillo........San Jose, Ca
