Irma,

You could save the map to a file then open it up in photo editer 
program.  Crop it to remove all the white space from the sides then 
resize it to your page (8x11.5).  Make sure when you resize it that 
you maintain the same proportions.  Usally in the photo editer 
programs there is usually a check box for that.  You should then be 
able to print.
