Hi Emilie:
Too bad you can't get Google Earth, but you know how it
is, with technology advancing on a daily basis. I keep up- grading my
computer and am at the point when I'll have to make a decision to replace
it with a new one. To tell you about all the up-grades that I
made to it would probably take a whole page and I don't want to bore you
Port Orchard sounds like a the place where I would
love to live. I am the outdoors type and just can get enough of the
Sierra Nevada in Northern California. I go hunting every year and those
days when we are out there camping are my happiest. Even when
we get lucky on the first day of the season, we always stay exta days just to
enjoy the woods...
The only thing that keeps me away from Washington and
Oregon is the endless rain...I am used to this climate in Southern
California, where we only get, on the average, about ten inches of rain for
the whole year.
In one of your recent E-mails to the group,
you made a comment about "El Chamizal" . When I read
it, it reminded me of a funny story . (joke) There was a
man in a bar in Juarez, having a few beers, every so often he would yell real
loud in Spanish : "Que nos regresen el Chamizal" After about
the third time he yelled, the guy next to him turned around and said to
him: "Ya callate, ya nos lo regresaron" to which the guy doing
the yelling says: " Yo sé, pero yo soy Gringo"
Feel free to share it with the rest of the group if you
like.
Have a good week-end.
