Yes Angie, those maps are great.  Emilie, I think the reason why the 
U.S. did not aquire all of Mexico was that the part they did not 
acquire had too many Mexicans living in it.  In other words, the 
xenophobia was greater than the greed.

Thanks much for the links to those maps.  It really helps me to 
understand the scope of "Manifest Destiny" of the US Government.  I'm 
surprised they didn't "acquire" all of Mexico.
