Hi Alicia--

Would you look up one name for me in your book?  I have an ancestor, Maria Manuela Duran, who was married in 1732 in Tlaltenango, so I guess she was born around 1715 or so.  Her marriage record notes that she was born in Nochistlan, but it did not note  her parents' names.  She married Domingo Perez.

Rosalinda,

I took the time to do the lookup and I find that all of the Maria Duran's in this book were born prior to 1700. It may be that she's the daughter of one of these Duranes. The name Duran is very prominent in Nochistlan, Teocaltiche and Xalostitlan.

Capitulo 2: Descendencia de Juan Ximon Duran y Regina de Aguayo, has many references to many given names for Duranes but mostly for the 17th century. They have baptisms, confirmations and marriages as well as death records, land grants or deeds, wills and partial testaments, also marriage investigations.

If you want more detailed information, don't hesitate to ask, I will be happy to provide more detailed information.

Atentamente,
