Recently, I discovered that my Villarreal connection was Jewish through the research that others had been doing.  When I asked my aunt of this connection, she said yes we are, but it was kept secret because of the discrimination against the Jews in Mexico.  Turns out the Jewish secret had been kept since the 1500's.
