Charlie Maldonado,
Que tal. You should consider joining the group.
well since I'm hovering around 1730 in my genealogy and that being in
the Zacatecas, Zacatecas area I'm not sure I can knowledgeably share
any insight about the Guadalajara area. But if this was my project I'd
contact Rodney
Anderson, the Director of the Guadalajara Project and try to pick his
brains for any sources of information on Military Muster Rolls. I would
think since he is a specialist in the history of Guadalajara he would
be able to at least point you in the right direction. {PLEASE: if you
do this and he does give you information be so kind as to share that
info with the group as it might benefit us all}

ps: by the way I know this recommendation is for info that is 130 years
past the time period you seek but you might want to do an ILL on this
book as it just might give you some clue as to what info was available
in prior years [maybe not but you never know]:

I was given this web address from my friend Angelo
Cervantes, who is a member of your group. I would
like to post a query on your website. The query that
I would like to post is this:
Seeking information on a Sebastian Antonio Maldonado,
a native of Guadalajara, Mexico. He was born around
1680. He was a soldier who arrived in the Santa Fe
Presidio (New Mexico) around 1704. I would also be
interested in knowing if anyone has access to a
military muster roll from Guadalajara - circa
1690-1700.
Please consider my query. My email address is
charmaldo@...
Thanks,
Charlie Maldonado
