Hello Ranchos,

 

Thank you for letting me join this great group.  I'm sorry for contacting you at this time.  Joseph allowed me to be part of this group in the beginning of the month but I have been very busy with Final Exams all last week and then my husband and I took a well deserved vacation to the Great Smokey Mountains to see some snow.  Joseph we were up in North Carolina (Asheville to be exact).  Well enough about that, here is my information:

 

My name is Dora Gómez and I live in Florida.  My parents are originally from Sain Alto, Zacatecas and my husband, Alejandro Escobedo, from Magdalena, Jalisco. Currently working on my side of the family but any information from my husband's is welcome also.

 

My father:                     Jesus Gómez Alanis (Emiliano Zapata, Sain Alto, Zacatecas)

**Note Emiliano Zapata was formerly known as San Jose de los Trojes***

 

Paternal grandparents:   Eduardo Gómez Villa (1899-1967) and Jovita Alanis Gómez (1913-1993)

 

Eduardo's parents:     Benigno Gómez and Sebastiana Villa 

Jovita's parents:         Epianio Alanis (could be with a "Z") and Guadalupe Gómez

 

My mother:   Maria de la luz Gonzalez Gonzalez

 

Maternal Grandparents:    Josefa Gonzalez Castro (1914-1998) and Martin Gonzalez Castrejon (1913-1956)

 

Josefa's parents:      Pablo Gonzalez Monsivais (reportedly from Sombrerete, Zac) and Apolonia Castro Lujan

 

Apolonia's Parents:  Vicente Castro and Marcelina Lujan ( from Rancho El Castro, Sain Alto)

 

Martin Gonzalez's parents:    Apolonio Gonzalez and Marcela Castrejon

 

 

Alejandro's parents:

Daniel Escobedo Mejia (originally from Santa Teresa, Jalisco) and Florencia Corona Gonzalez from Magdalena, Jalisco

 

Daniel's parents are Jose Escobedo and Maria Mejia Rivera (originally from Villanueva, Zacatecas)

 

Maria Mejia's parents were ?(do not have first name) Mejia Najera and Silveria Rivera

Florencia's parents were Feliciano Corona and Maria de la luz Gonzalez (not my mother, different Ma. de la luz).

 

Well, that is it for the family that I have records for there are others that I have not mentioned that I will later post when I have organized it all.  Again, thanks for letting me be a part of this group and I hope I can help or meet someone that may  be related to me.
