Hi all! Just wanted to take a quick minute and introduce myself.
My name is Peggy Delgado and I'm currently searching for the
surnames of Aguirre (not sure of the spelling), Ynostrosa
(spelling? I know there's different variations of that name!)Correa
and Ortega. Aguirre and Correa in Tlaltenango, Zacatecas, Ortega
somewhere else in Zacatecas and Ynostrosa in Sierra Mojada,
Coahuila. I've ordered microfilms from the FHC for
1914 for Tlaltenango. My grandfather (my dad's dad), Jacinto
Pineda was born there on 8/14/14 to Maria Correa and Baudelio
Aguirre. Story goes that Baudelio went off to fight with Pancho
Villa and was never heard from again. My great-grandma Marie
married Juan Pineda (he supposedly adopted my grandad and gave him
his name, Pineda - but when the got married and where is a mystery.
Baudelio Aguirre is also a mystery....who knows what I'll find with
those FHC films! But I'm very excited.....
Next I'm searching for records of my mom's dad, my grandad, who was
also born in Zacatecas - but where I don't know. His name is Jesus
Ortega-Soliz. I've also order that film for the year of 1897.
We'll see what that brings.
And lastly, but definately not least, I'm searching for my mom's
mother's, my grandma's records. Her name is Paula Mendez-Ortega.
She was born in Sierra Mojada, Coahuila. Her father's name was
Manuel Mendez and she had two brothers, Lorenzo and Juan. Her
mother, Luciana Ynostrosa, died when Juan was born. I've order the
microfilms for the year 1913.
I've been researching since her death in 1992. She practically
raised me and thought I owed it to her memory to bring alive her
past - that's how I got into researching my family tree. I'm
thrilled to be a part of this group and hope I can help and be
helped here. All my records I will share with no reservations.
and, when I learn how, I will download my family tree.
Muchisimas gracias for letting me in!!!
Peggy
