I still have not found my grandma Maximina Lopez daughter of Jesus Lopez who should be in those records. I've looked in Sombrerete and Fresnillo, she would have been born about 1897 and the films are indexed and still can't find her. I have found other siblings in that time frame. They crossed over in 1907 so I wouldn't need any records after that time-frame probably 1885-1907, I've researched. I have found her dad's records etc., and have gone back at least four generations on my Lopez line but I will get back to looking for Maxmina's record again soon. Also I've done research on my great-grandma Librada Gonzalez (Maxmina's mother) and have gone back a few generations on her lines as well. Carol Joseph Puentes <makas@...> wrote:

Contact John Schmal he is the historian for Somos Primos and he and I had done some research together and he knows the scoop on the records that are missing. For some reason I remember him telling me these records can be found in Las Cruces, New Mexico. John runs the Family history center and also teaches classes at the local Santa Monica, CA branch. I just today found out that my Puente[s] line was only temporarily in
Sombrerete and origianlly was from Zacacetas, Zacatecas. Woe is me if
those records are not to be found anywhere.
