Passenger lists from Spain to America (1509 to 1790) are on-line/Forgotten Thanks

A very big thank you to Elvira Zavala-Patton for forwarding me this information. I haven't gotten much past the registration
which is a two part process. First fill in the registration page, then login then fill out another questionaire. I'm sure there are large Gold Nuggets on this site and just wanted to quickly let you all know about it. Thanks Elvira.

The Spanish Ministry of Education has setup a HUGE database of documents
in Spanish archives. The database is called AER. Most of the documents
have only a description (which anyway is incredibly useful to locate
documents concerning some of your ancestors in Spain), but some
documents have also the original image, among them the passenger lists!!!

The access to AER and its contents is somewhat complicated, to start, you
can access AER going to the page
http://aer.mcu.es/sgae/index_aer.jsp and following the registration
procedure.

To access, you need Internet Explorer 6 with the Flash Player and the VB
automation and Vector graphics complements.
