Petition Papers

thanks for the reply. I just want to separate the ones that are willing and unable from those that have no intention of contributing. Of course I understand your situation. But your situation brings up a leaning opportunity for others (me included). Would you mind giving us a few sentences on how you obtained your fathers petition papers? Also do you or anyone else in the group know how to get border crossing info?

thanks,

joseph

ps: in time you will be in a better position to submit your work

Joseph,  the only reason I have is that I have not been able to find out where my father was born, or when -- other than Mexico by the Texas border.  Recently, I obtained a copy of his petition papers to become a U.S. Naturalized Citizen.  I also now have some names of his brothers and sisters (but no birth dates or places).

I am in the process of using Family Tree Maker to enter this newly acquired info, but as I mentioned, all I have is names.  Is that sufficient?
