This is Brendeen Longoria I just joined the research group and
looking around the web site to understand better how you all are approaching
this project. I need to send my ged.com files in and will do that this
weekend. Is that the format that fits into this program? Does
everyone download the files to view them so we are coordinating our
searches? If anyone has films to look at, I am looking for Patricio
Trevino and Micaela Del Castillo died 1905 in childbirth with her 2nd child in
Tamaulipas. I have read that the soldiers were run out of Jalisco by the
indians in the late 1800's also that the soldiers were moved to Tamaulipas to
claim that land before the French did. That might explain the move from
Jalisco to Tamaulipas. if you run across those names I would appreciate
any information. I have been searching history of the area to get an idea
of where to look. Micaela went to a university in guadalajara for girls,
and patricio was a captain or general of a fort somewhere in the area of
Jalisco.
Thank you Brendeen Longoria

lookup
Fabulous idea and when i get some time I'll work on getting my
list of films available to put in the files section. thanks.
yes the
spirit of cooperation. . .in time we are going to develope into a fine tuned
researching machine for others to pattern themselves. Certainly the Rootsweb
groups leave a lot to be desired in this respect.

Stella,
Thanks for the offer to do lookups for the group. I don't have anyone
I am looking for in that area that I know of, but I appreciate the
offer just the same. I think this is where we can really help one
another. I was thinking we should have a place where we post what
film(s) we are currently viewing in case anyone in the group needs a
lookup done for them. I recently asked Helyn for a lookup and she
graciously agreed. Thank you Helyn!
I am currently viewing film #0628877. This is the first film for
Ixtlahuacan del Rio, Jalisco and it covers baptisms for the years
1801-1818. I should mention that the books on this film are for a
parroquia that was an offshoot of the Parroquia de San Felipe,
Cuquio, Jalisco. The parroquia was called "Hayuda de la Parroquia de
San Miguel de Quelitan feligresia de Cuquio". I think the parroquia
de Ixtlahuacan del Rio was founded later. Anyway, I would be happy
to do lookups for others as well.
