1820 Census ?

Hi Angie,

I was wondering if you can give us a brief summary of what all is on the 
Film you are looking at for the 1820 Census? I looked at Dr. Platt's 
pages from the files section and see that that film is listed for 
several cities in Jalisco and Zacatecas. The section that covers Jerez 
is that many many pages. . .I have no idea how big of a city it was in 
1820. You didn't happen to notice an Puente names there did you?
I guess I'm not asking for a detailed report but just a something giving 
the area of coverage. Maybe if others in the group have other census 
films we can slowly start mapping out what areas the census cover so we 
can see if we can figure out how they went about doing the census in the 
different years. I know when you look at the LDS film numbers you have 
no clue. but  Dr. Platt helps out much in what is where, but still there 
is a lot of info missing for us to make better sense of these census films.
I found an interesting film that will really come in handy one day. . 
.it is an idex to the census' from about 1750-1860 but it is for the 
census' you can find at the National Archive in Mexico City.. . anyone 
going that way any time soon?

registro separado bajo el título Padrones de México.
