Alicia Avelar Carrillo Introduction

Hello Joseph and Hello to this group, Los Ranchos de Jalisco and 
Zacatecas. Thanks for the invitation to join, I feel that I'm in very 
good company having read some of the group's previous communications.
My name is Alicia Carrillo (married name) My maiden name is Alicia 
Avelar Olmos and I was born in Tlachichila Zacatecas. I have not 
found any information in the Charles Clark files that would lead me 
to my descendants. Through the years I have heard many of the 
surnames mentioned here such as Delgadillo, Vallin, Esparza, Ruiz, 
Ruvalcaba, Munoz, Jauregui/Xauregui (spelling either way).
I look forward to not only what I can gain from this association but 
to what I can contribute. I have recently begun my ancestral journey 
and can't even begin to imagine where this will take me.
Being part of a group will definitely inspire me to accelerate my 
search.
My father was Restituto Avelar Aguayo. His parents were Pascual 
Avelar Garcia and Rebecca Aguayo. Pascual's father was Martin Avelar 
and his mother was Tiburcia Garcia. This information I just gleened 
from my mom. My father is deceased and I did not have much contact 
with his side of the family.
My mother is Esperanza Olmos and her parents were Lauro Olmos Avelar 
and Maria del Refugio Ruiz Esparza also from Nochistlan/Tlachichila. 
My abuelo Lauro's parents were Deciderio Olmos Jauregui and Francisca 
Avelar Munoz. Deciderios parents were Prudencio Olmos and Juanita 
Jaruegui. My abuela Maria del Refugio's parents were Refugio Ruiz and 
Vidala Esparza. 

This is all that I've been told but I don't have any data to verify 
this yet.
It is my intention to get going on this and if anyone has any data 
from this region, I'd appreciate any and all help I can get.
By the way, I live in Northern California, in San Jose and have lived 
here since my parents brought me here when I was 2 years of age.
If you know where I can go locally or close by to do research, please 
let me know. 

As far as I know our descendants come from Nochistlan Zacatecas and 
Teocaltiche Jalisco. We also have much family in Jalostitlan Jalisco 
and Jalpa Zacatecas and all the surrounding ranches.
